Passive smoking affects everyone. Passive smoking is when you breathe in other people’s cigarette smoke.

Passive smoking affects people in many ways : -

LUNG CANCER
Chances of getting lung cancer are increased by 10 - 30 %.

BRONCHITIS
Asthmatics are more likely to suffer from this.

COT DEATH
2/3 of cot deaths could be avoided if the child is kept away from smoke.

HEART DISEASE
Chances of getting heart disease are increased due to the 4000 chemicals.

WHAT CAN YOU DO
If some of your friends smoke you can go to no smoking places like: the cinema, no smoking eating places or no smoking areas, leisure centres OR offer to help them give up

If your boyfriend/girlfriend smokes: ask them not to smoke around you, OR offer to help them give up, tell them it's like kissing an ashtray!

If your family smoke: make your bedroom no smoking, ask the family member to smoke outside OR offer to help them give up.
