Year 11 – Impacts of smoke on looks and sexual life

Logistics –DVD player and Power Point needed. Lasts approximately 40-45 minutes.

Summary and Objectives

Looking at the impacts of smoking on

looks- focusing on disfiguration caused by mouth cancer
sexual life.

Activities

1. Quiz- The students are divided into groups of 4 or 5 and they have to answer a quiz focused mainly on impact of smoke on sex and reproduction.

2. Video Clip - Lady affected by Emphysema – focus on the way her appearance has changed.

3. The cost of smoking on your sex life leaflets-We have some good resources and hand outs showing how smoking can affect impotence and reproduction. We can also cover the effects of smoking while pregnant.
