SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES    
An introduction to Smokebusters and a look at some of the smoking facts and statistics.
 
ACTIVITIES
 
TRUE OR FALSE QUIZ 
Children are divided into groups of 4-5 and have a True/False card.  Statements about smoking are read out and each team must decide if the statement is true or false. 

SMOKEBUSTER BLOCKBUSTER GAME
A statement about smoking is read out and the children must think of the answer which begins with the letter being held up.  If they answer correctly they keep the letter.  The class are then asked to arrange the letters into the word Smokebuster.
 
Smokebuster membership forms are distributed and the club is explained.

SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES
A beginner’s look at the chemicals found in cigarettes and cigarette smoke plus a look at the diseases and how smoking affects the body.
 
ACTIVITIES

CHEMICAL GAME
The class is divided into groups of 4 or 5.  There are 10 chemicals and 10 labels inside the bags and the children must match the chemical with the correct label.  This is followed by some questions about the chemicals and a discussion.
 
EFFECTS ON THE BODY
A large torso is used.  The organs are removed.  The children must correctly identify the organ and a disease which can affect that organ from smoking.  If the answer is correct they then keep the organ until the end of the game when all organs are placed correctly back in the body.
